Some Customer Reviews for Cheap Dyson Air Multiplier AM07 Tower Fan This thing is *really* quiet. One particularly unique feature of operation is that the oscillating part of the fan is turned off each time you power down the fan. Now, since the oscillate button is right next to the power button of the remote control, I don't see it as an issue. On low speeds, the only way to know it is running is when the blinds vibrate on the window on the other side of the room. On high speeds, the gentle swoosh of air is still amazingly quiet for the vast air flow coming out the front. With this puppy wide open, there is some noise. Moving air in itself makes most of the noise. On the lower speeds, it is almost silent. Compare Dyson on 3, 10' away, PC 20' away. The fan noise from the PC is louder. In an A-B comparison to a bladed tower fan, Dyson top noise about the level of speed 1 of 3 speed bladed fan. Plus, it is safer, when the puppy put his nose into the fan, I wasn't worrying about an injury. Made in Malaysia. Three easy to fit together pieces to assemble. The box is apparently made of carbon-nano filament cardboard. I suggest a Dremil tool. All very pro-environmental (and sturdy). It is almost totally cardboard, so look for remote controls in the little folded corners of the packing. The motor unit seemed very attached to the box. The box is very sturdy

Some Customer Reviews for Cheap Ozeri 360 Oscillation Tower Fan, with Micro-Blade Noise Reduction Technology When my oldest kids were babies I kept fans in their rooms as "white noise." I had also read that it reduced the risk of SIDS to have air moving in a nursery so of course I wanted to do everything I could! What I found with most fans is while I liked them creating white noise, I didn't want TOO much noise! I wanted it to drown out other sounds without being too much noise in itself. The Ozeri 360 Oscillation Tower Fan is the perfect fan for my new baby's nursery because of it's micro-blade noise reduction technology. I think the fan itself is just nice looking. I don't like anything in my house that's an eye sore no matter how functional it is. This fan just looks sharp and the nice thing about it being tall and stand alone is you can pretty much put it anywhere. The fan rotates 360 degrees so it covers a wide area of space. I kept it in the living room with me for a few days to try it out and while my husband prefers to have it stationary pointed directly at him; I like to have it moving all the time. We had the usual battle over the remote where we both kept changing it! Did I mention there's a remote? Well that's just one of the awesome things about it! I don't have to get up to make the adjustments I want! Speaking of adjustments; you can pretty much get this fan to whatever your comfort preference is from varying levels of oscillation at 60, 90, 120, or 360 degrees to how and where it blows air with 3 whisper quiet speed settings. Whisper is definitely an accurate way to describe it because you can barely hear it at is lower and mid settings and even at the highest it's still the quietest fan I've heard. The LED display makes it easy to see what it's current settings are, even from across the room. I like that it shows the current temperature in the room as well. For the baby's nursery this is important to me. We are trying to conserve electricity and don't use the air conditioner often but if it gets too hot in the baby's room, I will turn it on. With this fan, at a glance I can tell the temperature. The buttons with picture icons are super easy to read so you can just make your adjustments without reading any small print. There is also an 8 hour programmable timer which comes in handy. If I know that it's hot when we go to bed but is supposed to cool off significantly in the middle of the night, I can program it to turn off so that the baby isn't cold. I am thrilled with the Ozeri 360 Oscillation Tower from it's easy of use to it's appearance; it's an all around great fan to have and I sleep better knowing my baby is comfortable!

And I have to say... I am quite impressed. While I am not in my dorm yet (not until August), I do not fear the Iowa summer quite as much now. I currently have the fan running on its highest setting and it's really not all that noisy at all. I think it is very comparable to a standard pedestal fan on its medium or medium-low setting. The only thing you really hear is the wind movement, the motor is absolutely silent. In regards to the wind speed, I have to admit its not going to make long hair go completely horizontal but it feels a lot like a nice, strong (consistent) breeze from about five or six feet away. But what it lacks in speed it makes up in volume--- this thing is pushing literally a pillar of air at me. It feels incredibly nice. I would recommend this is your looking for something to circulate a large room while looking attractive and not making too much noise. If you looking for something to emulate going downhill on a roller-coaster though... I'd look elsewhere.

The recent heat wave (still going on here in Maryland) sent me in search of a fan to supplement our air conditioning and ceiling fan. After reading tons of reviews here on Amazon, I settled on this one - and so far I'm pleased. Pros: 1) The fan comes assembled - only the base needs to be attached (you'll need a Phillips-head screwdriver). I had no trouble getting the two halves of the base to fit together, and then attaching it to the fan itself. The instructions are clear. No problems at all. 2) Operating the fan is easy - whether with the remote control (included) or by using the buttons on the top of the fan. You will need to pick up two AAA batteries for the remote. The buttons are coded with icons to make it easy to turn on the fan, switch speeds, and add oscillation or the ionizer feature. 3) Great job circulating air, with or without using oscillation -- when combined with the ceiling fan in our family room, it really does feel like we're surrounded with comfortable spring breezes! 4) Very, very quiet - in fact, it's much quieter than the little $20 fans we've placed around the room in the past to circulate the air. I hardly notice that it's on at all. Cons: 1) It's a bit large and a tad top-heavy - the base is light-weight plastic, which makes the fan seem a bit top-heavy, especially on thick carpet. So far, we haven't had a problem with this, but I could see it falling over easily if someone bumped into it. 2) Oscillation range is fairly small -- it works fine for two people sitting on the sofa watching TV, but it isn't a wide enough range to effectively reach an entire room full of people. It works for us, since it's usually just my husband and myself. But if you're looking for something that oscillates from one side of the room to the other, this might not be the fan for you. That's about it - if you're looking for a good fan for a reasonable price, I suggest ordering one of these. It's classy-looking too!

Some Customer Reviews for Cheap Bed Fan with Wireless Remote I got this bed fan a few months ago but first set it up tried it out last night and am absolutely thrilled with the way it worked. I don't why it took me so long to try it out; I guess I had such low expectations I didn't think it would work. It's very easy to set up - just take it out of the box and you put the long flat part with the air flow vent (see the picture) on top of the base, which houses the air intake filter. The air-intake filter has a cover that easily clicks on and off for cleaning. There is a separate round remote and you just put in the two batteries, plug the cord into the base of the fan and then into the wall, and you're all set - the remote is already wirelessly connected. Just place the fan vent at the foot of your bed between the top of the mattress and under the top sheet and you're done. Then you just have to put the remote wherever you can reach it at night and press down on it and it briefly lights up blue and then you twist it round for more or less fan strength. It was heaven, that's all I could say. It was fine for me at the start with the fan on the lowest setting and just enough air came between the sheet and mattress to keep my lower body cool. If I turned the fan up, I could get the airflow to reach my chest. I highly recommend this fan to anyone who has any issues at night with their getting too warm in bed. This is great for anyone who has night-sweats or simply for those tend too run too hot and who share a bed someone who doesn't. (Me.) I am often putting on the air conditioner at night because I get too warm and I know that's hard on my husband because he gets too cold. This way I can keep the AC off; at least I did last night and it was fine. Note a couple of things - 1) Your partner may feel some of the airflow, even if you have the fan set at your position at the foot of your bed. My husband said he didn't notice it when I was in bed but when I got out of bed (without turning off the fan) he felt the breeze. 2) The fan is very lightweight which can be a problem. For me, I have a baseboard (I think that's what it's called - a wooden structure that the mattress sits in) and we lifted the bed to place the fan between the baseboard and the mattress. In this way the fan is right next to the foot of my bed and it's not going anywhere because it's wedged in there. I think I might have a problem with keeping the fan secure and steady if it wasn't for the way we have it set up. 3) There is some noise with the fan, but for me it was like sound that comes from a white-noise machine which I like. If you turn the fan way up, it is quite loud, but for me personally it wasn't too loud and like I said, I was fine with it on low. Highly recommended if you can get this set up and anchored properly to your mattress.

Fits out of the way in the corner of the room. Provide excellent air movement. Quiet operation. Cost more then a lot of other fans but overall I feel it is a better quality. The other fan which is the same manufacturer has been in operation for three years with no problem. I use it to help circulate heat from a Wood Stove. Does a great job of balancing out the air and keeping the room temperature consistent throughout the room.
