Like all Dyson fans, AM07 has patented Air Multiplier technology for powerful airflow projection. Air is accelerated through an annular aperture, drawing in surrounding air to project a powerful, cooling flow of high-velocity air. And with no blades, the airflow is smooth – not choppy. Dyson engineers developed AM07 to be quieter and more energy efficient than its predecessor, with no compromise in performance. AM07 is 60% quieter than its predecessor AM02. Streamlined air channels reduce airflow turbulence so that air passes through the machine more quietly and with greater efficiency. It also has an acoustically engineered motor bucket to reduce vibration and therefore noise. Energy efficiency has also been improved. With smoother airflow through the machine, the DC motor doesn’t need to work so hard so less energy is required to channel the air for the same performance. Energy wastage has been reduced with the addition of a sleep-timer – enabling you to set exactly when you want the Dyson Cool to be working. The fan can be programmed to turn off after preset intervals ranging from 15 minutes to 9 hours. AM07 comes with a remote control providing 10 precise airflow settings – as well as one touch oscillation control for smoother oscillation. Air Multiplier technology

AM07 uses Dyson’s patented Air Multiplier technology for powerful airflow projection, with no chopping blades. With Air Multiplier technology, air is drawn in at the base of the machine. It is accelerated through a 2.5mm annular aperture, generating a high velocity jet of air. This passes over an airfoil-shaped ramp, channeling its direction and creating areas of low pressure behind and around the fan. The change in pressure forces surrounding air to be drawn into the airflow – called inducement and entrainment. There are no chopping blades, so there’s no buffeting – just a powerful stream of smooth cooling air.

Streamlined air channels reduce airflow turbulence, making AM07 60% quieter than its predecessor AM02. Motor noise and vibration have been isolated using a Helmholtz cavity: an acoustically engineered motor casing that reduces noise.

Some Customer Reviews for Cheap Dyson Air Multiplier AM07 Tower Fan This thing is *really* quiet. One particularly unique feature of operation is that the oscillating part of the fan is turned off each time you power down the fan. Now, since the oscillate button is right next to the power button of the remote control, I don't see it as an issue. On low speeds, the only way to know it is running is when the blinds vibrate on the window on the other side of the room. On high speeds, the gentle swoosh of air is still amazingly quiet for the vast air flow coming out the front. With this puppy wide open, there is some noise. Moving air in itself makes most of the noise. On the lower speeds, it is almost silent. Compare Dyson on 3, 10' away, PC 20' away. The fan noise from the PC is louder. In an A-B comparison to a bladed tower fan, Dyson top noise about the level of speed 1 of 3 speed bladed fan. Plus, it is safer, when the puppy put his nose into the fan, I wasn't worrying about an injury. Made in Malaysia. Three easy to fit together pieces to assemble. The box is apparently made of carbon-nano filament cardboard. I suggest a Dremil tool. All very pro-environmental (and sturdy). It is almost totally cardboard, so look for remote controls in the little folded corners of the packing. The motor unit seemed very attached to the box. The box is very sturdy
