Next day I just slammed it onto the metalhook into the slot and it was easy after that. Be sure to hook up the bungies after this part and the front bungie hooks into an eylet similar to the rear one. A bit hard to find and you can't tell where to hook it on the instructions but it's right near the little wheel. Hope this helps. Once it is on it works exceptionally well.
